One of the most popular rocking horse manufacturers and probably the longest-established English rocking horse maker is J. Collinson traces its roots back to Liverpool in 1836. This beautiful vintage carved wooden rocking horse was made by Collison in the 1930s. During the age of simple wooden toys, for those who could afford the luxury, a rocking horse always took pride of place in a house. This rocking horse is superb example of a bye-gone era and a rare find in this condition. The horse is in full working order and glides effortlessly on it solid wood stand. The steel pivots are strong and have years of life left in them, with original horse hair mane and tail and original corduroy saddle.
Condition: sympathetically restored, some obvious traces of wear and tear consistent with age but overall good condition. Please refer to photographs
