A pair of Ligne Roset sofas, France, circa 2000

£3,795.00

The iconic "Togo" sofa, originally designed by Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset in 1973, has become a design mid-century design classic. It is an extremely versatile modular sofa that can be used alone or paired with other pieces from the same range. Made completely from foam, with three different densities, this sofa range was built for comfort. The beige colour ties in well with most interior spaces and with its low seating position and instantly recognisable pleated fabric design, these two sofas have a perfectly relaxed aesthetic feel.

They offer a variety of solutions. They can be placed facing each other, or at ninety degrees, like any other pair of sofas but these were designed so that they can also be placed side by side, creating a massive "single sofa" spanning well over two and a half metres in width. More importantly these sofas are completely original and have not been refilled or reupholstered in the way that so many have, thus keeping the appeal of owning an original Togo sofa.

Condition: some fading to the top of both sofas, probably from sun exposure. Professionally cleaned. The foam filling is in good order, no rips or tears to the alcantara leather.
