A pair of Hebi "snake" table lamps by Isao Hosoe for Valenti, Italy, 1970s
The "Hebi" table lamp designed by the Japanese designer Isao Hosoe and produced in Italy in the 70s by Valenti Luce. These lamps were made with a small aluminium diffuser and a flexible metal tube with a yellow plastic cover. It can be adjusted to various positions, allowing the user to mould it to the desired shape. These are a very unusual variation insofar as the diffuser is long and narrow. Great fun and already a modern classic.
Condition: some minor dings to the metal shades, otherwise good vintage condition consummate with age. Please refer to photographs.
Dimensions: 115cm when fully extended, shade is 16cm long, 7cm wide
