A floor lamp by Tommaso Barbi, Italy, circa 1970
A wonderful 3 leaf floor lamp by Tommaso Barbi with attachments for 3 lights, the brass structure supporting pressed brass leaves. The length of each leaf can be adjusted slightly thanks to a telescopic thread at the base of each. Once lit it creates a rich yet soft light source, a spectacular addition to any interior whether modern or traditional.
Tommaso Barbi was a prominent Italian artist and designer of the mid to late 20th century. This lamp is one of the most revered designs which perfectly exemplify his work, mixing mid century modernism and functionality with inspirations from the natural world.
Condition: overall fine vintage condition, some evidence of stress at the base of the leaves but not really noticeable (please see photographs), rewired
Dimensions: 184cm high, 50cm deep, 180cm wide
