A elegant graduated pair of floor lamps by Pia Guidetti-Crippa. Known as the P428 floor lamp, it was designed in the 1970s and is characterised by the clean lines which was a huge success in the world of interior design and they are very much sought after today. The lamps are operated by a switch so the body which allows the user to “dim“ the lamp. In reality the switch activates one, two or all three bulbs (hence the different coloured bulb holders) held within a large round opalescent diffuser, an integral part of Guidetti-Crippa’s design marrying functionality with attention to detail. A graduated pair of lamps which look great in any modern home, giving a touch of mid century design that looks and feels as fashionable as it did half a century ago.
Born into an artistic family in Italy, Guidetti-Crippa developed an early interest in art and design. He studied industrial design at a prestigious Italian art school, where he acquired a solid technical and aesthetic training.
