£1,495.00

Introducing a wonderful piece of Italian design history, this is an exquisite mid-century modern bookcase from the 1960s. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, this modular laminated teak bookcase features one cabinet with sleek swing doors and one cocktail cabinet with a drop-down door with the inside clad in red formica, perfect for serving drinks and mixing cocktails without risk of damage to the surface. It also has five adjustable shelves, all of which supported by two sturdy black lacquered metal and solid wood pillars. The Pillars alone show incredible attention to detail, flared towards the bottom and tapering towards the top, details that are usually synonymous with the very best designers like Vittorio Dassi. The cabinet and shelves can be adjusted in height according to the user’s desires and needs thanks to a simple and functional bracket system.

This bookcase shows the excellence of Italian craftsmanship and ingenuity of the era. As it is a free standing unit it can be placed up against a wall or set as a room divider, a truly fantastic piece of furniture capable of uplifting any interior with a little retro chic.
