A beautiful vintage modular armchair by De Sede, Switzerland, made around the 1970s. This particular model is called the DS-11 and it consists of a cream leather patchwork armchair and is hugely fashionable today and with fantastic colour and patination. It is rare to find this colour, the sofa doesn’t absorb light and gives a superb retro look to any interior.

De Sede has its origins in a saddlery, which was founded in 1962 by the saddler Ernst Lüthy in Klingnau. His team specialized in leather furniture, made by hand. In 1965, the family business was transformed into a public limited company, de Sede AG. Designers of international stature were brought in to create the furniture and other production facilities opened, an international sales network was established. Through acquisition and innovative ideas, the brand became world famous.

Condition: Wear and patina commensurate with age, split to the patchwork leather and small tears. please refer to photographs.
