A fern pattern cast aluminium garden suite, England, mid 20th century
A delightful mid-20th century cast aluminium garden suite, comprising of a bench and two armchairs, crafted in England during the 1960s. It showcases a timeless fern pattern inspired by Coalbrookdale's renowned "fern and blackberry" design. With intricate botanical detailing, the suite is a beautiful period homage to the original Victorian style that Coalbrookdale made famous. The use of cast aluminium offers durability without sacrificing the classic charm, making it ideal for outdoor use. The seating retains its original teak slats, adding an authentic touch to its vintage appeal. By the latter part of the 20th century, the production of such cast iron benches had largely ceased, making this set a rare and sought-after piece for those who appreciate historical garden furniture.
