A set of four "Alice" dining chairs by Giorgio Cattelan for Emmepi, Italy, mid 1980s
A fantastic set of four "Alice" chairs by Giorgio Cattelan for Emmepi Italia. The metal structure cladded with stitched black leather, designed in 1984 by Giorgio Cattelan and was immediately a design icon. They look fabulous accompanying any mid century or modern dining table, tying in well with steel, brass, chrome and glass, or just as hall chairs on their own. Super versatile and an inexpensive way to adorn any stylish modern interior space.
These chairs are no longer in production but continue to be sought after by interior designers and aficionados of mid century furniture.
Condition: one of the chairs has the leather that prizes away from the stitching slightly on the underside. However as it is on the underside it is not visible and does not detract from the functionality of the chair. Overall very good vintage condition, please refer to photographs
Dimensions: 116cm high, 46cm wide, 50cm deep
