Pair of early 20th century hall chairs in oak, circa 1920, of unusual form with a beautiful stencil to the centre with a Latin family motto reading "Dextra Me Vibrat" meaning "Brandished in my right hand", the coat of arms depicting an arm and a sword belonging to a famous Hand family of navigators,
Condition: stress fracture to the seats, otherwise perfect
