DESCRIPTION
Superb 20th Century Elizabeth II solid silver pair of wine coolers, each raised on a circular fluted foot, the body and foot chased with grapevine motifs and elaborate floral scrolls, applied with two cast lion's heads with suspended stylised handles. The pair were created in a limited number of 25 to commemorate the Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh silver wedding jubilee (1947-1972), the center engraved with the Queens crowned initials, impressive Royal crest and signed 'Silver Wedding'. The pair come in its original presentation case. Hallmarked English Silver (925 Standard), London, year 1972 (r), Maker's G&Co Ld (Garrard & Co Ltd), Regent street, London, holders of the royal warrant.
