Very unusual stool fashioned from the vertebra of a whale. The seat was naively made by Inuit people who were unable to farm and grow their own food in the harsh desert of the tundra (above the Arctic circle). They ate fish and foraged for berries but mostly lived off meat from hunting animals such seals, walruses, and the bowhead whale using harpoons. The stool appears to have had some alterations over the years which adds to the charm and makes for a wonderful conversation piece.

Condition: one of the legs has some give but structurally sound

Dimensions: 66cm wide, 23cm deep, 38cm high
