A Goyard cabin trunk dating to the early part of the 20th century, circa 1900/1910. Over recent years the brand has been relaunched and has taken the world of fashion by storm. The original E. Goyard firm was a trunk maker which rivalled Louis Vuitton and the trunks it made at the time ooze the same quality and finesse as its (now) more famous competitor. Today its trunks are revered as they weren’t made in vast quantities and even fewer have lasted to this day in good condition. With its famous chevron canvas, lozine trim and brass fittings, this trunk makes for an ideal investment piece for any collector and perfect to embellish any home.
Condition: some losses to the chevron canvas to the top, probably where travel stickers used to be. Some losses to the chevron canvas to the back as well. Some water staining to the quilted inside lid, lacking tray. Top slightly bowed. Please refer to photographs.
