A lovely pair of tall marble side tables, made in Italy in the latter part of the 20th century. This impressive side table is composed by five individually polished slabs of Calacatta marble, conjoined to make a striking item of furniture. Together they offer the user the chance to bring a taste of elegance and sophistication to any interior, working well in a traditional, mid-century or even modern setting. The rich veining so typical of Calacatta marble looks fantastic from any angle and they ooze quality.
Calacatta marble is one of the finest marbles in circulation today as it is available only from one quarry in the world located in Carrara, Italy where production is limited and controlled. Although all marble is formed in the same way by nature, a marvel may be unique and more highly sort after the others. Calacatta mable is one such marble. A gorgeous, high end natural stone desirable for its distinctive look and precious rarity for a range of applications.
Condition: hard to ascertain whether or not there has been an old repair or restoration where the base meets the table top to one of the side tables but the tables are identical and structurally sound with no visible signs of restoration from the outside. Some light staining to one of the tables, please refer to photographs.
