An antique 19th Century Scottish solid silver salver with cast border, large size and extremely heavy gauge, of circular form with applied cast fruit and grapevine border, the tray is beautifully engraved with scrolling foliage and thistles on matted ground, resting on four globe shaped feet, bearing two large crests and motto 'Blow Hunter Thy Horn'. Hallmarked Scottish silver (925 standard), Edinburgh, year 1818 (m), Maker's mark (George Mc Hattie). Retailed by John Hay, Leith.
