A lovely vanity or toiletry case by Hermes, made in France around the middle of the last century. Leather trim and canvas to the outside, the case opens to reveal a fitted interior containing two scent bottles, three silver boxes, a necessaire (empty), a red leather box, a brush and a shaving mirror. A truly exquisite piece of leather workmanship and a wonderful collector’s piece.
Hermes barely needs any introduction: it is probably the most famous firm in the world known principally for its workmanship of leather goods of the highest quality. The French luxury goods manufacturer established in 1837 specialises in leather goods, lifestyle accessories, home furnishings, perfumery, jewellery, watches and ready-to-wear items.
